For a short time, I have some downloads available from
debian.merseine.nu

They are accessible only by using the rsync command: I prefer to run an
rsync server rather than ftp because I believe the former is more secure
(from my POV), and if necessary I can throttle it.

I'm on ADSL: I cannot control http, so don't even think of it.

If you're running Linux, rsync is included in your distribution.
Otherwise, look to rsync.samba.org (where you will find several wondrous
toys).

Use this command to find what's available:
rsync rsync://debian.merseine.nu/hercules/

I'm only allowing two concurrent connexions (unless I've stuffed
things), so if you can't connect, be patient.

I'd prefer you download after 12:00 UTC as that's less likely to get in
my way.. To find the UTC on a Linux system:
Numbat:~#
date -u
Sat Jul 26 14:15:22 UTC 2003
Numbat:~#

Before choosing any big files, grab these files and read them:
disk/README
disk/notes

All you will achieve by downloading all the big files is to annoy me.

You probably want the contents of the conf directory too, it describes
the machine's configuration.

If you think it might not work for you, ask on this list. I probably
can't tell you, but someone else most likely can.

Oh, Both systems will IPL in 32 Mbytes, but the larger one you probably
want to give at least 128. It does have XFree86 and KDE installed and
it will start.

Assuming its hostname is debian.example.com
and

firewall rules allow
then a command like this on another Linux (or Unix) machine
X -query debian.example.com :1
should get you a KDM login screen on it.
