The very large blue company I work for is not only
putting the SysAdmins, programmers, and technical
support staff in India, they are putting the button
pushers in Brazil! Regional data centers are being
replaced by satellite links to data centers in other
countries!
So far, our hardware is still in the US, but I
recently had to put up two Linux Lpars for testers in
India. When they have a problem at noon, its midnight
here on the west coast.
When the developers go overseas, would they please
shut off the lights? At least Branson was a couple
hours drive from Nashville!
