We have a Suse Linux 7, on which we first had defined
a CTC with z/VM, and later an ETH on the OSA card.
Recently, colleagues have removed the CTC definition
and only ETH was left.
Since then, we can't connect to this Linux using
TELNET or FTP...
But I still can access the Linux using SSH.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# telnet lnxprod
Trying 172.16.8.34...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection
refused
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# ssh lnxprod

Have a lot of fun...
lnxprod:~ #

Any idea ?

Note: please do not discuss about the opportunity of
an upgrade to SLES 8, the lack of security of telnet
and ftp,
or about the advantages of keeping the CTC.
