are there any good tools for adding users across multiple systems easily. we are going to use ldap for authentication, but i can't seem to find anything to manage the addition/removal of users. i'm looking at "directory administrator" for the directory management. can it add users to particular systems (ie. add the user to /etc/passwd, create home directories, etc) or am i barking up the wrong tree and there is a much simpler way of doing this?
