I figured out the problem, now I am attempting to fix it without re-installing. For future reference... The problem was the way in which I specified dasd=.... during the install. I, by mistake, used the ' instead of the ". i.e. dasd='200-204', this resulted in zipl.conf having the following entry: "dasd='200-204' root=/dev/dasdb1" Of course right now this may be simple speculation on my part as, like I said, I am still trying to figure out the command line for zipl where /etc/zipl.conf is /mnt/etc/zipl.conf and / is /mnt...
