I am searching for ways to ensure maximum up time of my "z/Linux" environment. As such, I am wondering, when adding dasd to the environment is there a way to go from editing the zipl.conf file to dasdfmt without rebooting. Currently, I add my device to zipl.conf and then execute zipl followed by a reboot. I would like to eliminate the reboot.
Thank you! Eric Sammons (804)697-3925
