You might try using the "-m" switch for the useradd command. Or, use YaST
to create your new users, which will do all that for you, as well as set
initial passwords, etc.

"man useradd"

Subject: problem to create home directory

Hi
I use useradd command for adding a user but it doesn't create home
directory for that user.
I user Suse7.2 on mainframe and the type of / filesystem is reiserfs.
Please tell me how can i create home directory for users with useradd
commnad . Meanwhile I have a Sudors user that permit to user useradd
command and can use mkdir command but when I login as that user for
adding new user , I can create /home/userdirectory with mkdir command
but I can't change the owner and group of user's home directory with
Sudors . How can I give this permission to this user to do this without
any problems .
