Since Gordon's given me this great straight line, I'd like to announce the availability of SMTPPLUS, a SMTP server for CMS and Linux users that includes virus scanning and spam abatement, user mapping, header rewriting, and other functions equivalent to current Unix implementations. The server is low-cost, and can be supported on any Linux-compatible hardware supporting VM/ESA 2.3 or later (z/VM 4.2 or higher is recommended, but not required.). The virus scanner can be configured to be automatically updated (if access to the public Internet is available), and can support local virus lists and exclusion lists for removing undesirable attachments at the gateway. If used to support CMS users, the server can attach to the existing VM stack and masquerade mail as coming from the VM IP address, providing a user-transparent replacement for the VM SMTP server that is safe to expose to the public Internet. Please contact us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more information and pricing. -- db David Boyes Sine Nomine Associates
