A group of our developers would like to run an application on linux 2.4.19 system that was originally compiled on a 2.2.16 system. The library they require is libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3 which apparently is no longer available once you get to linux 2.4.xx. I'm not a c++ programmer so I'm wondering short of moving the older library over from the 2.2.16 system and allowing them to run with it - is there a "best practices" type of solution to this problem?
