We played a big part in getting the port for ColdFusion developed for the 390
platform. We are a Beta site and are currently testing some apps we developed for
other platforms to see how well they port.

A few of the items/features available in ColdFusion on other platforms did not port to
this platform. Some were tied to Windows, others were excluded because their function
was implemented in object code that couldn't be incorporated into the Java based MX
6.1. The things that did not port are as follows:

- Verity Support (CFINDEX, CFSEARCH)
-  C++ CFX Support
- Crystal Reports (CFREPORT)
- String UUID generation (fallback to UUID Java algorithm)
- Windows ODBC Support via Data Direct Sequel Link
- Windows COM support
- Windows Registry
- Windows Performance Monitor Integration Support

Macromedia will offer support services to help with re-engineering the apps to replace
the non-ported capabilities.

Subject: ColdFusion MX

I noticed that The Software Developer for Linux on zSeries web page
just added a link to Macromedia Coldfusion MX.

http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/productinfo/zseries/

Our management has asked us to check into the Zseries capability

Does anyone have any feedback on this product?

Thanks
