Given that it's a standalone device, I'm not sure what you mean by "supported". If you're doing desktop calender sync with the Blackberry (what I'm guessing you mean), then there are alternative methods to get the items back and forth between the BB calendar and the desktops. It also doesn't mean that the back end that the Windows tool is talking to (eg, Outlook) can't move to Linux while the desktops stay happily using Windows -- it's the client system that matters mostly; the backends can do their own thing.
Take a look at opengroupware.org, www.tutos.org, phpgroupware.org for possible back ends. We use opengroupware.org and are pretty pleased with it, both with Windows and Linux clients. We have at least one BB working with the Windows clients, and the Palm users pretty much use either platform. Also, check out the BWC (Blackberry Web Client). Others have used it in the past. You should also be able to run the Blackberry Windows software under WINE.
