One of the major strenghts with the "z" I/O subsystem is the ability to measure and diagnose performance problems. This capability is lost when going to FCP/SCSI. Thus when there are performance problems, all of the sophisticated measurement capabilities for I/O subsystems are completely lost - so how can installations with service level committements buy into SCSI at this point in time????
