I installed SLES8 with SP2 on a LPAR, once the system was installed I decided to add a new disk to the system so I used the dasd script which is on one of the IBM Websites. #dasd add #### #dasdfmt -p -f /dev/dasdx -b 4096 -l LEVEL #fdasd /dev/dasdx #mkfs.reiserfs /dev/dasdx When I reach the last step the machine hungs up. It tells me that it is on a Syncing process but it does nothing and I can't even kill the process using the -9 option because it's a uninterruptable process. Could anyboy here tell me if it is a system bug or anything else? Thanks in advance Leonardo
