On z/VM 4.4 VM63385 is required. It's an enhancement created after z/VM 4.4 went GA. We saw great response on the Linux guests using the same card as the VM TCP/IP server. Before the ptf went on, the TCP/IP server had lousy response on ping and tracerte.
