Hi Steve,

  3a. run mkinitrd to create a new ramdisk image (this will pick
      up the changes made to the dasd line in modules.conf)
  3b. edit zipl.conf to point to the new ramdisk
  3c. re run zipl

No, this is not stupid, this is a common problem, and there could be
improvement on docs explaining this procedure ... :\
