A completely different problem is that all DCSS segments reside in VMs low address space, so you could at most give 2 GB of extra storage to all your linux guests together, in practice it is probably far less.
Please prepare to stand corrected. The DCSS maps into the virtual machine below the 2GB bar. But the real page frames in VM used to hold these guest real pages may very well reside above the bar (though it depends a bit on what you do with it). So the limit is still 2 GB, but *per virtual machine*.
