Depends on the Unix environment. Some of the Unix TSM clients have HSM capabilities (ie AIX, Solaris, HPUX) if you are running a HSM-capable filesystem like AFS. The Linux/390 TSM client has the hooks for it, but given TSM's abominable attitude, I don't think anyone's bothered to port the HSM support yet. HSM is available for AFS on Linux/390.
