I am installing Websphere Business Integration Message Broker and the
various
requisite software components (DB2, JAVA, and Websphere MQ) require quite
a large chunk
of "/usr" disk space.

So I thought I'd move " /usr" to an LVM filesystem on our SLES8 system.

Can someone share the steps involved to split out "/usr" into a new lvm
filesystem??

I see a documented procedure at
http://www.linuxvm.org/Info/HOWTOs/movefs.html,
but it does not have the lvm pieces...

Also ..is that documented procedure accurate?
