And since some of the packages are named differently, the build requirements for SuSE and Red Hat are not the same. That's why I suggested to take a src.rpm package for SuSE on Intel when you can find it, rather than Red Hat on Intel. When I recall correctly the quagga build required texinfo, automake and readline-devel. I don't have TeX installed.
