Apparently it can - I had my doubts, but that's what they gave me:

q vswitch
VSWITCH SYSTEM VSWITCH1 Type: VSWITCH Active: 0 MAXCONN: INFINITE
PERSISTENT RESTRICTED NONROUTER MFS: 8192 ACCOUNTING: OFF
  State: Ready
CONTROLLER: TCPIP IPTIMEOUT: 5 QUEUESTORAGE: 8
  PORTNAME: OSA1 RDEV: 0103 VDEV: 0103

This is on z/VM 4.4 - one of z/VM's development systems in fact.

Well not 103, I suppose because that is odd? Can CP sort that out for
VSWITCH ?
