Peter Webb has contributed a HOWTO on how to effect repairs on a Linux/390 system by using the "starter system" kernel and initrd. I owe Peter a public apology (on top of the private one I've already sent) because he sent me this about 11 months ago, and I just stumbled across it while cleaning out my inbox.
