Hi: Does anyone have any experiences with ORACLE RAC using linux on z/series z/VM? I have been working on an architecture to supplant SUN clustered ORACLE database servers. Network redundancy and failover will be handled by TCPIP VIPA, perhaps vswitch down the road. I am considering usng ORACLE RAC. Just wanted to hear of any experiences with setup, installation, deployment, performance, etc. Also several of these Sun servers contain multiple DBs, i.e., one server:many DBs - on linux on z/series z/vm I'm thinking for the strategic part of going to a one server:one DB design - with RAC that may become >=2 servers:one DB!
