Jim,

It may be a function of what versions of the SSH protocol sshd is accepting,
and what you have PuTTY set to use. Check to see if /etc/ssh/sshd_config
has something like this in it:
Protocol 2,1

Subject: ssh access denied

I can login in via ssh from a linux terminal using
ssh, but when I try loggin in using ssh from putty, I
get an access denied. Which paramenter in the
ssh.config file would affect this?
