We do have customers running well over 100 images, but there are not many of those. The largest customer I have has around 80 Linux images running on 4 IFLs on a z990. The study is skewed in that the Linux images were all very stressed. MS picked a workload which is one we would NEVER recommend to run with Linux on zSeries, specifically very high use servers, and then constrained the available memory and resources for each Linux image. IBM does have a response to this report, but we can not post it publicly. You have to get your IBM rep to get a copy of the rebuttal and he/she can discuss it with you.
