Question: Can Samba V2.2.8a join an Active Directory domain (which is running in mixed mode) as a domain member... and does WINBINDD work in that environment?
I tried it yesterday at a client site and got some confusing errors when trying to fire up windbindd. The "join" command seemed to work..at least we got confirmation of joining the domain. But winbind doesn't want to start: "smb.conf does not contain windbind defs" "id map...unknown parameter or invalid range" Windows admin said he was seeing some problem on his end too.
