Hello from Gregg C Levine
I've got a question for the group.
Has anyone been tempted to issue a "#time make <build kernel
instruction>", where you insert the appropriate build kernel
instruction for the steps your taking? I'm busy setting up a pair of
systems, not for a client this time, for in house work, and for both
machines, Slackware Intel based ones, the figures I'm getting are
decidedly unusual.

Granted what I am seeing are indicative of the whole process for an
Intel based system, and this is not representative for any
distribution, and architecture, but it stands to reason that something
would make sense. Someplace.
