I will send you (off list) the spec file I created for 3.0.2a. I'm running SLES8-SP2 and it works fine. How did I get around the problem? I included a "private" version of heimdahl in the samba rpm. It gets installed in /usr/lib(64)/samba/heimdal and an LD_LIBRARY_PATH is added to the rc* scripts. All of the other software depending on heimdahl still uses the aging version that comes with SLES8.
If you want to try a SuSE built (and unsupported) version go here: ftp.suse.com/pub/people/gd/samba3 Another place is ftp://ftp.sernet.de/pub/samba from a company that will supposedly provide support for a fee. Please note that I haven't tried these as I built my own (using the SuSE version as a base).
