We snapshotted 6 Linux volumes (0x2300 - 0x2305) to another set (0x230A to 0x230F) , I then modified the zipl.conf and fstab on the new boot volume (0x230A) and IPLed from 0x230A. Linux booted OK, but from 0x2300, eventhough on the HMC console I specified IPL address as 0x230A. Looks like the LPAR configuration file seems to have the 0x2300 and what we specify on the HMC is ignored !!! I need to talk to the OS/390 sysprogs to figure out the IPL address issue. Any comments?
