Yes, we are running SWAPGEN with the ( FBA option changing the /etc/fstab to /dev/dasd/0205/device none swap sw 0 0 made everything work without the rc.boot, so it would seem that we are getting agood signature from SWAPGEN. Once you dumbed it down far enough for me to see. Thanks! (again)

Hunh. Are you running SWAPGEN with the ( FBA option? If so, don't do that--FBA is if you don't want the DIAG driver.
If you run with FBA, you want: swapon /dev/dasd/0205/device
If you run without it, you want: swapon /dev/dasd/0205/part1
If you're still having trouble, I'm very very interested--as the maintainer of SWAPGEN--to figure out why you're not getting a good swap signature.
