I do not believe that glibc-2.3 is available for SLES8 on any architecture. What I find strange is that libstdc++ is from the gcc C++ compiler. Why would you be installing that along with DB2? What was the exact RPM command you issued to do the install? (Or was that issued by the DB2 installer script?)

But stuck up with the following error : /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3) I think it is a very common error. But am not able to gather any useful info from the net. Is it mandatory that i should upgrade GLIBC to 2.3 ? Is there any other work-around which solves my problem temporarily. If i need to upgrade to GLIBC 2.3, what are all the precautionary steps should i take ? And what steps should i follow to install the new GLIBC package ? All inputs are welcome!!!!
