Thats actually really hard to do in some ways. Assuming you don't need to worry about simulating the effect of thousands of parallel *slow* connections then Apachebench has tools for slamming a web site thousands of times (or roll your own with wget!). Volcanomark seems to be the generic java web benchmark - its a java chat root simulation. Not sure where it officially lives nowdays. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
