SuSE 9.1 Professional installed on my IBM ThinkPad R40e, model 2684-H4U with only two manual requirements. (1) disable ACPI and APM via the GRUB file. (2) use the bcm5700 driver instead of the tg3 driver for the Ethernet card. This is not supported by IBM or SuSE, but it seems to work OK. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer UICI Insurance Center Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its' content is protected by law.
