HOW-TO
IF you haven't picked up something to read over the weekend, consider
printing and reading the new Samba 3 HOW-TO document
(http://samba.org/samba/docs/). It's a) huge -- more than 400 pages,
and b) incredibly comprehensive.
It covers Samba 2 and 3, has a long section about printing that is an
excellent tutorial on how CUPS works, and has sections that tell you
everything you never wanted to know about Windows authentication
methods. It also has 2 or 3 completely worked out example
implementations, with excruciatingly detailed analysis of how, why,
and what the effects of certain choices were.
