We might have found a correlation between this process and the SuSE
security checks that are listed in /etc/cron.d/seccheck.  It could be a
total coincidence, but last month the monthly security scan sent
ksoftirqd_CPU off to the races.  We've disabled the weekly and monthly
checks and now after 9 days, ksoftirqd_CPU0 has used 00:00:49 and
ksoftirqd_CPU1 has used 00:00:50.  They use to consume many minutes of
CPU time each.
