And the Selectric ones slowed me down. I was used to the older typewriters, and when I had to switch to a Selectric, my accuracy went way down because the ball couldn't keep up. I have an old portable (non-IBM) at home that uses the ball. I don't use it much, but still use it from time to time. It even has a parallel port on the side to use it as a printer.
