I'll frighten you even further: This weekend, NASA JSC in Houston is finally auctioning off their System/360 reserve parts depot from the Apollo shots (they need somewhere to put the 3090-400E parts...8-)). $20K would get me enough parts to build THREE entire 360/67 CPUs and all the associated controllers, peripherals *and* test equipment *from the bolts up*. I'd just have to figure out where to store them while I get the floor space to assemble them.
