Use MONWRITE to collect VM Monitor data.
East steps:

Create the monitor dcss large enough to be functional,
the default is not functional.

'DEFSEG MONDCSS A000-AFFF SC RSTD'
'SAVESEG MONDCSS'

Enable All domains as follows:

'MONITOR SAMPLE ENABLE ALL'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE SCHEDULER USERID $PAGE$'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE STORAGE'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE USER ALL'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE SEEKS ALL'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE I/O ALL'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE PROCESSOR'
'MONITOR EVENT ENABLE APPLDATA ALL'

'MONITOR SAMPLE INTERVAL 60 SECONDS'
'MONITOR SAMPLE RATE 1 SECOND'

Start the MONWRITE program, start the monitor,
make sure the disk is at least 200 cylinders -
probably overkill.

Velocity Software provides a free analysis service.
Go to  "http://velocitysoftware.com/services.html";
for instructions.
We analyze the data for you, create a full
set of reports that you can use as you wish.

This won't look inside Linux, but will look at all
the VM data very effectively.
