I can get gdm to come up but I can't get a session started. I'm using some software
from a company called Labtam for my Xsession. It executes under MS Windows and I am
using the same XDMCP parms that I've used to connect to TAO/390. I'm using the same
IP address for both distro's of Linux. Here are the entries from syslog,

Richard,

There should be a xdm-specific log file in /var/log/. Is there anything in
that file that might indicate why the socket creation failed?

I've updated my /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config file to comment out the last line
and Xaccess to allow any host. If these updates are not suggested for
security reasons please remember I'm just trying to get this up and running
under Hercules.
