If the driver is a module, then add "options loop max_loop=nn"
(where "nn" is the number of loop devices you want) to /etc/modules.conf.
Then unload and reload the driver and you should have more!

I have run out of /dev/loop devices:
mount: could not find any free loop device

I have 8 and need more.  Anyone know how to do that?
