Given the huge hassle involved with getting a non-alt Usenet group set up, I would have to say "no." I'll be archiving the announcements on the slack390.org web site, and Google has been through there almost from day one.
Any announcement mailing list I set up will be one-way only, just the way Slackware has them now, so having even a moderated newsgroup would be overkill. So far I've gotten one response from someone who would want to received security notices. If that's all I get, I'll just email them directly. :) As before, please reply off-list. That would get far more exposure, and benefit from being Google searchable. *Brandon ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
