There's output on /dev/console, which should/does have a $TERM. On Intel, the scripts do tabs and cursor positioning and text color changes and all kinds of useless stuff like that. That obviously *shouldn't* happen if the terminal type is not something that can actually handle the commands. Yes, it's boring to look at. I don't care.
