Hi ken,

Last year, on a z800, I defined linux LPARs on IFL and yes the CPs showed
as CF and this was OK. I think the meaning is "NOT LEGACY".

new IFL, question on HMC

Hi,

We just had two IFL engines installed on our z900 machine. When we look
at the CPs defined, I can see the standard engines, and two engines that
show CF on the icons. When we go the activation profile for the LPAR that
we are going to run Linux in, I do not see any LINUX options for the CPs,
just the dedicate for standard engines, and the dedicate for coupling
facility engines. Do I just use this CF option, or should I also have a
Linux CP option?

Thanks,

Ken Vance
