If history is any guide, Yes it will change. VM 5.1 is not supported on 31 bit
machines. There is no longer any reason to keep 31 bit addressing in it. So,
whenever any part is changed it will probably be changed to 64 bit addressing.
Some parts of it will remain 31 bit addressing for a long time but the 31 bit
parts will keep getting less and less all the time. When was the last of the 24
bit addressing changed to 31 bit?
