Jim,

Did you check if this WAS 5.1.1 running at SLES 9 can run in a 64 bit JVM?
Can I use a heap size bigger then 2G?

Thanks.

The technote on installing 5.1.1 on Linux at
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=727&uid=swg21182138
lists s390x (which is 64-bit Linux for zSeries). I would take
this to mean that WAS 5.1.1 is supported on SLES 9 in 64-bit mode
(though I believe the app is still 31-bit).

I have asked for clarification from the WebSphere team here. Note
that we do plan to support WAS as a 64-bit exploiting application
on Linux on zSeries soon.

Jim
