Hi Maureen,

Let's see. I have no way to check now but I believe that you edit your
IOCDS input file on the SE to add your Linux/VM LPAR(s) and all related
I/O definitions (CHPID, CU, IODEVICE) to produce a refreshed IOCDS in one
of the four slots (A0-A3). Then modify/add a Reset Profile to assign your
IFL CPs. Then do a POR Reset follwed by IPLs.

Note that the IFL engines are probably hidden under/as ICF on the Reset
Profile. Once done, you should see what should pass as a Penguin on top of
the LPAR icon.

Subject
Z890 IOCP for IFL

We are setting up our 2086 to prepare for Linux native or Linux under
VM.

How do we set the definitions for the IFL's. We have two other LPARS
running native VSE.

We do out IOCP on the HMC - not through VSE.

TIA.
