The basic idea when using logical volumes instead of phyical ones it that you can create volumes based on your storage requirements instead of creating them based on the size of your hard drives. This makes it irrelevant which data is stored where, therefore I see no need to check how much free disk space is left on which physical volume. Why do you want to figure that? with kind regards Carsten Otte -- omnis enim res, quae dando non deficit, dum habetur et non datur, nondum habetur, quomodo habenda est ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
