I just tried using your link and it worked for me after putting my SuSE
portal id and password.  Are you able to log on to portal.suse.com

At least you *can* download anything.  I've been trying to download new
copies of SLES 8 isos from
http://sdb.suse.de/download/s390/update/SuSE-SLES/8/images and keep
receiving errors saying, "The web page might have been removed or had
its name changed."  The same thing happens for SLES 9 isos.  Where are
you downloading these from?  Novell?
