This is going to sound stupid but... I had a discussion with someone
from the GNU people about him downloading my project after
I'd changed it for his recommendations. We'd had the same problem.
The changes didn't show up.

Turned out that there was something strange with the browser
caching stuff and returning the cached (i.e. old) version rather
than the updated one. (No, this is not a Win system either.)

Another useless 'Weird but true...' story...
