Hi Mark,
Regarding "auto update": I have the luxury of being in more of a test rather
than production environment, so "throwing" all the latest patches on is
perhaps more common, after all the point is to find these problems ;-)

fake_ll generates the LLC info; see the IBM Device Drivers and Commands
manual.

Here is example usage from /etc/chandev.conf:

noauto;qeth7,0x0B00,0x0B01,0x0B02;add_parms,0x10,0x0B00,0x0B02,portname:FC2F
EL2,hw_checksumming,primary_router,fake_ll
