- Check speed and duplex settings. Different vendors often won't
auto-negotiate.
- Check the cables. There are TWO chpids on a card. Cables *do* break.
- Latest microcode.
- Have OSA/SF or remote HMC access available to you.
- Let your network techs do their job. Don't do it for them. (They can do
it better and faster than you can.)
Unfortunately you ran into the first three all at once.
